Naked & hidden pairs

Two cells in the same unit that between them allow only the same two letters form a naked pair: those two letters are spoken for, so they’re ruled out of every other cell in that unit. A hidden pair is two letters that can only go in the same two cells — those cells must hold them, so any other candidates there are removed.
